We all have excuses - what's yours?

Jimmy McMillan's race for NY Governor is just too funny for me!! Yes, I am a closet Fox watcher. In fact, right now I'm watching it as I blog, it's addictive :) And who can resist watching Jimmy McMillan wave his hands in the air with his black gloves on and his slicked back white hair and perfect part in his beard while he answers the same question 100x to Sean Hannity with "I pay rent" - do we even know what this guy is saying other than, "RENT IS TOO DAMN HIGH" If I had the time to look up YouTube and post him I would. So his excuse is, "Rent is too damn high!"

Okay, moving on....today I had a great time at lunch with my mom and brother. I have such a great supportive family that truly cares about one another and it's comforting to know that we all have each others backs. My brother Dave has always been very active and athletic, it's part of his lifestyle. Not only does he stay in great shape physically but academically as well. He has a BS in Economics, Law Degree and a Masters in Business - does anyone know a great girl looking for a guy like this? He's available :) My point is he keeps making time for the gym, it's part of his lifestyle. The other week he and I ran 3 miles together, that was one of my favorite moments with him. No kids to distract me and I could keep up with his much longer legs than mine :) Thanks Dave for taking time for me!

My mom has been doing a biggest looser competition at her gym and has lost a TON of inches and I am soo proud of her! Recently she was playing pool with some girls friend in her basement and tripped over her treadmill and dislocated her elbow!! OUCH!! Needless to say she has kept up with her training and didn't gain a pound while she was down for a couple of weeks! Great job mom!! Mom's always looked like a million bucks. We all grew up with mom's motto: "looking good is a full time job" - Mom will always look fab!! People still think we are sisters!

My girlfriend Barb has been an inspiration to me! Barb is doing one of the biggest looser challenges and was the motivation I needed to start up my blog again. Thanks Barb ~wink~wink ;) Barb is working her can off and I'm rooting for her everyday I see her at the gym!! Each time she runs a lap I wanna scream " GO BARB!!" however, everyone in the cardio room (which is dead silent because everyone is busy watching the 20 tvs and getting their heartrates up) plugged into their iPods would think I was yelling fire! So, Barb if you are reading this, know that I am watching you and cheering for you! By the way, Barb had excuses not to be at the gym, even though she said to me on several occasions, "it was time for me to loose the weight" - her little guy has 2nd degree burns on his body from a recent accident and doesn't sleep well so she doesn't get much sleep. But, she make time for herself!

Last, I've been thinking of my good friend Sarah. Her mother-in-law, who is very close to her is experiencing terminal cancer. It's been a hard past 2 weeks and with Sarah's busy schedule filled with grad school, 2 kids, husbands work schedule and so forth she lost 2 lbs last week!! YES!! So proud of her!! I really thought she would have put her goal aside with her issues with her family - she is a strong lady for making time for herself!!

I have so many friends that have given me the motivation to keep going and I appreciate it!! I have 3 special friends that I will be blogging about next week. These 3 ladies cheered me on for my competitions and then did their own 1st competitions this past fall. I will be sharing photos and more about their amazing stories!
