- It's Valentine's this weekend...need I say more? I did great until I bought my kids valentines day cards and their candy. I picked the worst candy too, my favorites...Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. To top it off, I was making them sandwiches with Doritos's and yep you guessed it....I didn't have the will power to refuse!
- Hubby Out of Town....For those single moms - you are AMAZING! It's so hard for me to keep balance in my house when Mark is out of town while training. It's easy when I wasn't training b/c I would just order pizza! Which is why I looked the way I did!
- It's a Mental Game...Training is very mental, I never knew how much it plays with you but also pushes you harder. I'm generally a positive person but, once I'm down I become an emotional eater. Not such a great thing. To top it off the scale wasn't budging....hmmm...was it the Doritos's or the Reese's? - It's a mental thing!
So, after my breakdown 1/2 way through the week I made a call to my trainer - boy I sure do love my trainer. She really knows what to do and I am grateful for her! As my husband puts it, she "ripped out my spine and put in a new one." With a little coaching and TLC from Mark I pushed through it!
Going forward I'm going to try to do the following things:
- Choose to make the right choices, make a conscious effort to think about what I'm doing before I do it.
- Take advantage of the sauna at the gym and meditate after my workouts
- Not feel guilty for taking time while I work out
- Give 110%
