Thank You....I Needed That Push!

I Needed That Push!
This past week I wanted to reflect on things that kept me going strong! Some of them were ordinary everyday things that seem normal but they really impacted me.

  1. First - It was Mark and I's 12th anniversary! Yes, somehow 12 years have flown by, he likes to refer to them as "Blissful" We had a fabulous weekend filled with things we like to do together. We enjoyed hour massages, an Aggie ESPN game and a late night movie (Avatar) Couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Thanks Sweetie!
  2. The Olympics. I'm not sure about you but, the Olympics just seem to bring out the best in all of us! These Olympians are AMAZING! Just think about it for a moment. These people train from such young ages giving 110% day in and day out with a chance only every 4 years for a medal. Most of these athletes live on NOTHING and some don't see their families for years on end! They are incredible athletes with a lot of heart and dedication! How can anyone not be inspired? On a side note, Mark and I love the "PC" term for the Ice Skating waiting area..."Kiss & Cry Area" LOVE IT!
  3. My kiddos have been so great these past few weeks! Always reminding me what is on my menu and not :) They've supported me with my workouts and the day to day work load! I couldn't have better kids!
  4. My Mom treated me to a LOVELY weekend.....Shopping :) She still Spoils me to this day! Shopping always cheers me up :) Love ya Mom!
  5. Sunshine!!! Yes, it is still in the 20's here but Lot's of sunshine :) I'll take it!
  6. All of my FB Friends have been so supportive, it means the world to me!! I love hearing your feedback and words of encouragement! I'll try my hardest not to let you down!
  7. Last, I wanted to share something that caught my eye at the gym. I was doing my usually lifting exercises and noticed an empty wheelchair next to one of the machines. As I completed my exercises I saw the owner of the chair. He was a middle aged tall and lean man who pulled himself from one machine to the chair to the next machine. It obvious that his legs didn't work at the full capacity as others. At first I felt empathy as I smiled at him. But once he nodded back at me I realized it wasn't empathy I should feel for him, it was inspiration and gratitude that I have the ability to use all of my body at full capacity. As I left my workout that day I was thankful for that extra push and inspiration!

  8. Okay, so here are my latest photos, I'm pretty happy minus the redness from my tanning bed (not a good idea to fall asleep in those machines :)
